Thank you for visiting our Admissions page. We would be delighted to welcome you and your child to Northleaze C of E Primary School and hope that all the information you need to apply for a place can be found below.
Northleaze is a welcoming, inclusive school at the heart of its community, where children are nurtured to flourish academically, socially and spiritually. Whether your child is starting school for the first time or you are new to the area, we would love to hear from you.
How to Apply
All applications to Northleaze C of E Primary School must be made through North Somerset Council.
Reception Admissions (Starting School)
Applications for a Reception place are made online via North Somerset Council’s School Admissions portal:

Our Published Admissions Number (PAN) is 30 pupils per year group.
In-Year Admissions (Changing School)
If you are looking for a place in any year group other than Reception, please contact the school office in the first instance to enquire about availability and to arrange a visit.

If a place may be available, you will then need to apply online through North Somerset Council’s “Applying to Change School” process.
Visiting Northleaze
We strongly encourage families to visit the school before applying. School tours provide an opportunity to see learning in action, meet members of the team and ask any questions you may have.
Our Year 6 school ambassadors are often involved in tours and are always happy to share their experiences and talk about what your child can look forward to if they join Northleaze.
Reception Tours
- Tours for Reception children starting in September 2026 have now been completed.
- Tour dates for Reception 2027 will be published on the website during the summer term.
If you would still like to visit regarding a September 2026 start or are enquiring about another year group, please contact the school office to arrange a visit.

Northleaze C of E Primary School is part of the Lighthouse Schools Partnership (LSP). Our admissions arrangements are agreed by the Trustees of the Partnership and are fully compliant with the DfE School Admissions Code.
