A huge thank you to our wonderful Y6's for organising and running a brilliant Commonwealth Games inspired afternoon of sport for the whole school. I spotted a lot of smiles and great teamwork, with many of our older children helping our younger children.
Well done to Yanley 1 for being the winning team, followed by Ashton 1 in 2nd place and Ashton 2 in 3rd place.
The overall winning house was Ashton, with Yanley in 2nd place, Brook in 3rd place and Theynes in 4th.
Thank you to everyone that brought in a £1 for Sports Relief.
So proud of our gymnasts today, coming 3rd in the North Somerset Sainsbury's School Games Gymnastics competition. We actually ended up coming home with silver medals as they had run out of bronze ones! Thank you to Mrs Jefferies for all of her hard work with our gymnasts. You can spot her in one of the photos training up our youngest supporter, little Charlie!
Northleaze V Crockerne football match report by Gabriel
It's 1-0 to Northleaze so far. Max scored the goal and Jack the Northleaze goalie did some great saves. At the moment both teams are having a team talk and having a drink. Harry had some very close shots, but sadly they missed. Charlie and George have been doing very good defending. Overall we are doing very well.
Everyone is starting to feel a bit tired from running around. This match seems very competitive and hardworking to both teams! Crockerne got really close to scoring but they missed. The opposition score, the score is now 1-1! There has been lots of close action and headers. Now that the match has been evened up Northleaze are feeling a lot more pressure. Northleaze has just scored another goal and are leading 2-1. Northleaze have won! They just managed to win! Well done Northleaze.
